5. Penitence Bridge Riddler Trophy - Batman: Arkham Knight

Opinion varies wildly on which Riddler trophy throughout the Batman: Arkham franchise is the trickiest, though there's an especially maddening timed one in Arkham Knight.

Under Penitence Bridge on Miagani Island, a Riddler trophy requires you to hit four switches in just three seconds while keeping two pressure pads activated.

Mercifully at least, the timer doesn't begin until you hit one of the switches, but even so, this one's a massive pain in the ass.

Firstly, you need to use a voice synthesiser to command a nearby Riddler bot to stand on one pressure pad while you stand on the other, and then you need to use explosive gel on the two switches closest to you. Then stand on the pressure pad, throw your batarang at the other two switches across the way, immediately detonate the explosive gel, and you should get it all done within three seconds.

In fashion truly befitting of the Riddler, this one is frustrating because of the misdirection involved - you'll likely assume you have to somehow hit all four switches with the batarang, but alas, you need to think outside the box and combine it with the handy explosive gel.
