4. Enter The Gungeon
By now, PC gamers will be no strangers to roguelikes and bullet-hell shooters. However, despite how saturated both genres are, just about everyone took notice of Enter the Gungeon when it released back in 2017. Propelled by a ridiculously ear-catching soundtrack, the title throws players into a world where guns are essentially a currency, with different fantastical weapons all coming with their own surprising firing patterns and effects. Hell, there's even a pistol that fires out other pistols.
With a few key changes compared to your regular bullet-hell shooter, including the ability to doge-roll and create your own cover depending on the environment, there's a real tactical prowess to the experience that stops it from feeling totally overwhelming. There's loads going on seemingly in every stage, a reality which is only exacerbated when another player joins the mix.
It admittedly can get very hard, with so many projectiles littering the screen at any given moment, but the rhythm and flow of the game, as well as just how fair it feels, makes it a far less frustrating experience than it may look.
