9 Biggest Horrible Gaming-Related Things Of 2021
2. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition is Terrible
We should have seen the warning signs. The much-rumoured Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remaster was revealed late in the year with a very constructed trailer showing little of the games in question, and it turns out there was a reason for it!
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition is firstly a) a title way too long to type and b) an absolute embarrassment that Rockstar should never have pushed out of the door and took money for.
This game was absolutely shocking. Plagued with bugs and completely unfinished, the Trilogy was another game that was spawning memes left right and centre as people found more and more increasingly ridiculous problems with it.
Whether it was the rain that made night visibility precisely nil, actual holes in the map or the god-awful redesigns of characters (which apparently was done using an AI tool, so minimum effort involved there), the whole thing was just awful.
A couple of patches have tidied things up a bit in the wake of its release, but we can't help feeling that if they actually took the time to make this well, it could have been so much more than the absolute shoddy experience we got.
