9 Delayed Video Games We Can't Wait To Play In 2015
7. Mad Max
Definitely a franchise that has a greater resonance and identity with a certain generation - the same one that remembers "Daniel-san" and never crossing the streams most likely - the upcoming Tom Hardy-fronted movie reboot is going to see an accompanying video game tie-in. It'll be the first time the apocalyptic Twisted Metal-inspiring series has seen a video game in about two and a half decades, with the last one being the colourful top-down racer of the same name for the NES in 1990. In a great move it's going to be developers Avalanche Studios that are handling everything, who you should know from the nitrous-fuelled and utterly ridiculous Just Cause series. From what little footage is out there it looks like they're pegging Max to be a dust-filled version of Destruction Derby, bringing to mind the vast deserts of Red Dead Redemption and the weighty car-combat of Motorstorm, along with some area-infiltration mechanics that are veryAssassin's Creed just for good measure. Hopefully there's a hint of the ridiculous in there too to keep things fresh, as aside from the last Twisted Metal there's a distinct lack of awesome car-combat titles in the modern era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbdv1GzxAto
