9 Delayed Video Games We Can't Wait To Play In 2015
5. Evolve
Another multiplayer-only game - which we all know how well that worked for Titanfall - Evolve is putting a spin on the traditional idea of a class-based online mode, and is almost taking a page out of Metal Gear Solid's short-lived online mode in terms of one player getting something of an advantage over the others. By letting you take control of any number of four soldiers tasked with hunting down a gigantic creature - along with one lucky player also being the beast itself - every match plays out like the most intense scenes from any monster movie you can name off the top of your head. With the monster itself evolving into different forms if given enough time to do so, the pressure's on for the vastly-underpowered soldiers to get stuck in - but the great twist is that teamwork is key, as together the team's buffs can play off each other to make sure they stay alive when on the receiving end of a spiked claw or set of javelin-spiked teeth. Turtle Rock's prime developing pedigree is honed from putting their name to the likes of Left for Dead and Counter-Strike, and this could be the next essential shooter that like L4D strikes the perfect balance between party-style drop-in, drop-out gameplay whilst having enough depth to cultivate a devout following too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_WvkLuITqk
