9 Failed Features Of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

5. Quickscoping

Blops 2 Quickscope

Up to this point I€™ve tried to find a reason, a legitimising riposte, for the annoying features of €˜Black Ops 2€™. That stops with quickscoping. A play style that has spawned a plethora of gamertags, clans and YouTube videos, it€™s still horrendous. It€™s not the fact that it€™s unrealistic which bothers me €“ as I€™ve said previously, I appreciate that Call of Duty is not real life. However, when so many players take the time to aim and place accurate shots on target, why should a select few have the ability to kill anything on their screen simply by squeezing both triggers spontaneously? The killcams speak for themselves on this one, when the slow motion replay reveals that there is very rarely even a target in the scope when the quickscoper fires; usually there€™s little more than a flat texture presented during the split second that the auto-aim kicks in. Perhaps in the next game Infinity Ward can implement a feature whereby a shot becomes more powerful (and lethal) the longer the player looks through their optics? To the snipers who don€™t want to be caught out €“ carry a secondary.
