9 Fan-Made Mods That Make Great Video Games Even Better

8. Just Cause 2 - Multiplayer Mod

A little less relevant, you'd think, given the fact that we're now living in a post-Just Cause 3 world, but alas, no - Avalanche opted not to follow through with the success of Just Cause 2's fan-made multiplayer mod, and so it remains the only way for thousands of Rico lovers to indulge in a level of vehicular mayhem that would make even Rockstar shed a tear of envy over.

The mod, pieced together by nought but a two-man team of Just Cause fans, provides exactly what the series was always missing - the ability to allow thousands of Ricos to fly, drive, swim and zip line across Panau like a posse of mindless hooligans concerned only with causing anarchy.

Deftly assembled and well-polished, Avalanche ultimately ended up officially recognizing the third-party addition as a bonafide add-on; free DLC for all via a simple Steam search.

Now, about that multiplayer for Just Cause 3. Don't leave us hanging, Avalanche!
