9 Great Video Games With ONE Broken Enemy

7. Ruby Weapon - Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII Ruby Weapon
Square Enix

Props to Square for making one of the biggest and most beloved RPGs of all time, but man if the super-secretive Ruby Weapon wasn't a complete chore to seek out and fight.

See, although you could arguably grind until you're middle-aged getting enough power to make a dent, Ruby's attacks were so wide-ranging and devastating, you actually had to use an exploit to survive.

Revolving around going into the battle with two dead characters and the Phoenix summon tied to Final Attack materia, these KO'd characters trigger Ruby to plunge its arms into the ground, changing its attack patterns. From here, you need to lose your remaining character, triggering the Phoenix summon, which resurrects your entire squad for the second phase of the fight, giving you a chance to win.

Anything less and you'd be Weapon food, but there's no way in hell anyone would've ever stumbled upon this strategy naturally.
