9 Great Video Games With ONE Broken Enemy

2. Parasite Unit - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

MGS V's Parasite Unit feel like something from a bullet sponge loot-shooter. Appearing across the campaign in a series of half-baked, misplaced forms, the real pile of excrement came in a specific mission called "Metallic Archaea", where you're thrown into a wave-based 'combat arena', and all enemies are on alert, forcing you to go in guns blazing.

This reality is of course a huge problem, because MGS V is 95% a stealth game. The things you need to get through this fight - body armour, rocket launcher, powered-up Quiet rifle etc. - might not have been unlocked, because you were, well, playing everything stealthily.

Even the lead-in to the fight makes no sense, as though you're in a helicopter and being attacked, you can just button out to a different menu to accept other missions. It's like Kojima Productions realised their mistake at the last minute, as you'll likely HAVE to break everything, just to get the right equipment.
