9 Greatest Platform Games You’ve Never Played

1. Cool Spot

Long before companies produced viral video campaigns to gain exposure, 7UP gave their mascot Spot arms and legs. This is all Virgin Interactive needed to develop the highly underrated platformer. To further their marketing agendas, you could find letters within the levels that spelled €œUNCOLA€ (7UP€™s motto at the time) or €œVIRGIN€(which surely caused some immature chuckles). The game€™s soundtrack was composed by the legendary Tommy Tallarico, who has composed music for more than 250 games and also created the stage show Video Games Live.

Cool Spot was featured on just about every platform possible between 1993 and 1994. The sequel, Spot Goes To Hollywood, was a 3D platformer that did not play as well as the original. Spot was also not the only mascot to have his own video game. Ronald McDonald and the Domino's Noid had their own games, and Burger King released three games featuring "The King" on XBox and XBox 360 in December of 2006.

There are a ton of games that could have made this list, so use the comments section below to fill in the blanks.
