9 Meaningful Video Game Choices That Didn’t Actually Mean Anything
5. The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Kicking Ravio Out
Link Between Worlds opens with defeat. Link tries to confront the evil Yuga, but ends up unconscious after running smack into a wall. When he wakes up, he finds himself face to face with a person in a rabbit costume.
This is Ravio, who gets us back on our feet and eventually becomes very useful indeed as our main merchant in the game, offering weapons to rent and buy that will help us to access and complete the dungeons dotted around the vast lands of Hyrule and Lorule.
However at this early stage of the game, he is strange, almost annoying, and also incredibly presumptuois. He straight up asks if he can stay in your house while you are off out adventuring, making himself at home.
Those who did not immediately trust the giant rabbit and answered "no way!" to his highly inappropriate request will then see Ravio reduced to begging, grovelling on the floor, bowing at your feet. Refusing him once more will then present you with two final choices - "Of course" and "If you insist".
What kind of a choice is that?! Yes or yes? Why even pose it as a question in the first place?
