9 Movies That Blatantly Ripped Off Video Games

1. Logan Ripped Off The Last Of Us

Logan is about an ageing Wolverine transporting a child that is secretly the last hope for mutants. The Last Of Us is about an ageing man named Joel who transports a child that is secretly the last hope for humanity.

Already, we're off to a similar start - and then there are things like the identical shots of each pair driving.

In both Logan and the Last Of Us, there is a scene where our two protagonists bond over their shared hatred of bad dreams, after our grizzled male hero has a nightmare. Both Ellie and Laura are revealed as "special" after thwarting an attempt to capture them, and even the narrative pull of searching for a far-away haven is the exact same.

The Last Of Us had such a huge impact on gaming, you could argue its influence stretched to cinema, too.

With obvious parallels to something like Logan, it's time the world acknowledged that video games have just as much merit as movies and TV when it comes to storytelling.
