7. Xeodrifter

Originally released for the 3DS and later ported to the Wii U, the Metroidvania throwback Xeodrifter eventually found its way over to next-gen machines in 2015.

Despite not gaining traction on, well, any console, the indie still enjoyed a limited release in stores for the PS4, with a mere 2300 copies being manufactured. It eventually sold out, and it didn't take long for the game to be sought after by Playstation collectors.

Unfortunately, despite there only being a couple thousand copies in existence, the game is cheaper than some of the others on this list. It's one of the rarest, but perhaps because it didn't quite receive the same level of critical or commercial acclaim as similar limited-edition games, it's not the most valuable, being available for around about £70 online.
