9 Ridiculous Myths Video Games Made You Believe

1. Crashing Your Car Doesn€™t Damage Your Health

I had a bump in my car recently, albeit a very minor one in which no one was hurt and only cosmetic damage was sustained on either vehicle. But even though the collision itself wasn€™t major, it still hurt. Not to the point that I needed medical attention, but still, the jolt shook me to my very core; it hurt my neck, my back, even my hands which were of course, gripping the steering wheel. However, in gaming, particularly in the Sandbox genre, you can crash as much as you like at whatever speed and so long as you€™re not maybe riding a motorbike, your health will be undamaged. This is probably the most ridiculous myth ever propagated by video games. In the UK alone in 2008, 2,538 people died in car accidents - an average of seven per day - proving that crashing your car does damage your health. A lot. Propagators of the Myth: GTA Series, Saints Row Series, The Saboteur So there you have it! Have any myths you'd like to add? Why not drop us a comment?
