1. Fight Incubus With No Ammo - Silent Hill
In the case of Silent Hill's final boss Incubus, you don't even really need to land a hit on it - you just need to do one action which will cause the creature to react as though it's been mortally wounded.
Before you enter the final room to fight Incubus, firstly ensure all your weapons have been emptied of their ammo. Then when the boss fight proper begins, start trying to fire all of your guns into the air to demonstrate that they're empty.
This will swiftly trigger Incubus' death and the game's ending.
Though it was initially assumed that this was a mere glitch accidentally included in the game by Konami, it's since been suggested that this was actually a failsafe to ensure that ammo-scarce players could still beat the game without having to start all over again.
Given that the same trick is repeated in Silent Hill 2, it's safe to assume that it wasn't a bug - or in the very least, Konami was smart enough to run with it and pretend it was intentional for the sequel.
