9 Things Dark Souls 3 Simply Must Have

6. Local Co-Op

One of the good things about Dark Souls is how if you're really struggling, you can summon help for difficult parts of the game. Sure it leaves you open for other people to invade and disrupt your game, but it adds a small mercy in an otherwise punishing experience. But what Dark Souls 3 could really do with is some local co-op. Gameplay-wise it would present some balance difficulties, but would also provide some of the most frustrating, yet satisfying cooperative gameplay yet. The Taurus Demon would become an exercise in teamwork and communication, Capra Demon would be fantastic fun with one player holding off the dogs and the other tackling Capra himself. Sure there's a degree of that now, but you don't go through the game together; you don't level your characters, improve your equipment and explore the world as one. Local co-op would be a brilliant way to bring a new dimension to the series. After all, what could be better than sharing the pain of dying to a boss after the twentieth time by only a hair's width, with someone else?
