9 Things To Do To Start Your Island Adventure In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

6. Open The Museum

One of Animal Crossing's many recurring characters is Blathers, the incredibly loquacious owl. When you first start collecting critters one might be tempted to sell them all to the Nooks for Bells, but there is another use for them. Once you have donated Blathers enough fossils, fish or bugs (to his distaste), your island will open its very own museum.

The museum itself will continue to expand with its exhibits the more you donate, and it will showcase all your catches in their grandeur. With large tanks for your oarfish, to huge reconstructions of your fossilized T-Rex, the museum will display everything you've managed to get your hands on in the most eloquent manner.

It would therefore be wise to donate the first catch of any type to the overly talkative owl as it will prevent you from having to hunt down critters later. If the museum is being built and you can't access Blathers directly and are afraid of forgetting your critters, why not plop all your catches in containers outside and wait for the museum to open?
