Is Dutch the baddest dude in Red Dead Redemption 2? No, that dishonour goes to one of the worst characters in all of video games, Micah Bell, but Dutch screwed us over too and we totally saw it coming so he gets a spot on your list and subsequently ours.

Micah may have been the biggest asshat in the West but the only reason he was able to stir up the trouble that he did is that Dutch let him and we simply can’t let that slide. You guys noticed as well as Arthur and we did that every time Micah would royally screw up, Dutch would let him get away with it and lead us down the path to the next gigantic screw up. It was around this time, and in collaboration with Dutch’s fanciful and impractical thinking, that you realised Dutch might turn on Arthur. For those who had played the first game which takes place after Red Dead 2 where Dutch is an anarchistic baddie, this was signposted.

Even if you hadn’t, the too good to be true musings of a desperate man never seemed like they would end well, and they don’t.
