3. Blood Dragon Armour - Dragon Age: Origins

BioWare loves its add-ons and DLC and this ridiculously OP armour set for Dragon Age: Origins is no exception. Those who picked up the Ultimate Edition of the game or a new copy of the Origins standard or Collectors edition would be granted with this armour early on, but for RPG fans you’ll notice quickly it really throws off the gear progression.

Not only does the game gift it to you immediately, you’ll be hard pressed to get anything else later in the game that will make you want to swap it out. It requires 38 strength to wear so you can’t don it right out the gate but the stats are super impressive, especially once you can complete the set by buying the other pieces at the party camp.

Once you have the full set you’ll get an extra plus three to your armour and plus one to defence, so as long as you're vibing with the silver and red look, there’s no reason to wear anything else.

The set can be used in Dragon Age 2 as well but it’s nowhere near as overpowered as it is in the first game where you’d have no trouble keeping it all the way to the endgame. Not to worry, though, there are plenty more OP bonus items to get in that game but that’s another entry.
