9 Video Games You Never Thought You'd Get To Play

6. Too Human

Duke Nukem Forever
Microsoft Studios

Before the debacle that was Silicon Knights vs. Epic, the Eternal Sanity developer had a fair reputation going for them. These are the guys that brought us the first Legacy of Kain, after all.

But before their good/bad remake of Metal Gear Solid, or even the aforementioned Eternal Sanity, there was Too Human. Now, many of you are aware of its 2008 release for the Xbox 360... and that it wasn't very good.

Yet it actually started life as a PlayStation title, way back in 1999. A trailer launched that year showed promise, before Nintendo signed an exclusivity deal with the Knights. This switched development to the GameCube, but was delayed in favour of the two other titles mentioned above.

As it was, Silicon Knights then switched allegiance to Microsoft in 2005, that development resumed on the ambitious neo-Norse title.

Shame, really, that it failed to live up to nine years of expectation and sank faster than a dropped phone in the bath (take my word for that). The supposed trilogy cancelled, followed by Silicon Knights' industry suicide six years later.
