2. Wrath (Mortal Kombat)

The third and arguably least terrible of WCW's Netherrealm ninjas showed his face - or at least, his beautifully mascara'd eyes - at the close of Mortis' useless attempt to thaw the ferocious Glacier at Uncensored. Wrath - in reality Bryan 'Adam Bomb' Clark in a snazzy warlord helmet - stormed the ring after the match, breaking through the the Man of Freeze like a pickaxe.

Wrath wasn't directly based on a single Mortal Kombat karacter, but an amalgamation of several of its baddest bosses. The cape and helmet were straight out of series big baddie Shao Kahn's wardrobe, whilst the long hair and kung fu moves were borrowed from Kahn's majordomo, Shang Tsung.

He fared better than Mortis, but only by degrees. In the weeks after Uncensored, the pair would frequently get on Glacier's !*$%, until Clark was sidelined by an injury in 1998. When he recovered, the name stuck, but the look changed, and he eventually became a reincarnation of Adam Bomb. He even had a new finisher known as the 'Meltdown' - which surely, would have been perfect for putting Glacier away for good.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
