AEW Video Game Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand
7. Live Fan Service Post-Launch
Of course, 2K have to cut things off at some point. They're making a game here, after all, one that needs to be shipped off and finalised being being printed onto those precious little discs. That said, there is an alarming lack of post-launch fan service on WWE's side.
That's a gap in the market AEW and Yuke's can fill.
Fans will accept a few loads of DLC if they're worth the price of admission and aren't deliberately held back. That's critical here. 2K blatantly kept Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' alter ego out of the 2K20 lineup so he could be used as a dangling pre-order carrot. That sucked, and it's not something AEW should mimic.
Instead, assuming Yuke's won't be churning out a new game every 12 months, AEW should support it with fresh content over the next few years. They can add new wrestlers, new arenas, new assets for the Create-A-Wrestler suite etc.
Why not? Value counts.
