4. Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games (3DS)

Mario and Sonic
Nintendo

Unlike the previous two portable entries in the series, Mario & Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games for the Nintendo 3DS doesn't try to emulate its home console counterpart.

Instead, the games are made to be even shorter leading to something similar to WarioWare: just a mediocre but still very playable version of WarioWare. The title has 56 events in it which is more than even the real-life Olympics currently have.

If that wasn't enough to make this an interesting entry there is also a story mode where Sonic, Mario, and their friends must team up to stop Bowser and Dr. Eggman from preventing the Olympics from happening with something known as the Phantasmal Fog.

It's simply an excuse to go between the various events in the game but just seeing the Mario and Sonic team interacting with each other is a lot of fun and is worth playing the game for that alone. That's if you can find the game at bargain-bin prices, it's still nothing special.
