Anthem Review: 4 Ups & 9 Downs

1. You Can Play It On EA Access

Anthem Origin Access
EA

And it might sound like a back-handed compliment, but it undeniably works in players' favour that they can play the entirety of Anthem on PC as part of Origin Access Premier for a mere £14.99 per month (or try the 10-hour trial on basic EA/Origin Access on either Xbox One or PC for £3.99).

Though the generally mixed response to the game in its "preview" period may cause many to cancel their pre-orders before it releases physically on February 22nd, it's certainly a solid value proposition for gamers everywhere who still might want to give the game a try.

In a future that looks set to become increasingly dominated by digital gaming subscription services, EA is at least proving that their Access service touts some decent value-for-money.

If you're curious about the game but twitchy about paying a full AAA price tag, this is a damn fine way to find out if it's for you.

Have you been playing Anthem? What do you think so far? Shout it out in the comments!
