Tucked away on the side of the mission menu, hitting this button will literally reset all relevant A.I. routines and targets to their starting positions, meaning if you mess up a stealthy infiltration or want to retry a segment of any given mission, you can.

Any XP gained on missions will be lost however, so although you can't grind simple goals over and over, some fortified targets just demand being taken out in the most meticulously stealthy way possible.
