Assassin's Creed Origins: 11 Early Reactions You Need To Know

4. Assassinations Are More Linear Than Other Games

Although some recent games like Unity attempted to expand on the central assassinations and make them more open, it doesn't look as though Origins is following suit.

Instead of assigning players a target and letting them tackle the target however they want, assassinations only have a handful of resolutions, being more linear in focus. This might not be a negative however, as it could mean that by eschewing player freedom, these set-pieces could be more ambitious in scale.

Whether you think this is a good thing comes down to personal preference, as some fans of the series might lament that they can't take out targets in their own way, but others might prefer knowing that each assassination will at least result in an epic set-piece.
