Assassin's Creed Origins: 14 Most Promising New Features
7. Full Map Open At The Beginning - The New Purpose Of Towers
Though vantage points haven't been axed together, the idea of specific towers being climbed to 'un-fog' the map has.
Now you can clamber up towers to populate the map and your view with various icons, State of Decay-style, but the actual play-space won't be greyed out or otherwise obscured until you do. Also in are a range of pyramids including notable high school history favourite Giza, which climbing up will allow you to see even further, planning wider-reaching tombs and targets to plunder or take out as you see fit.
Point being: We finally have an Assassin's Creed where the whole map is just waiting for you to explore it.
Many of these alterations might fit under the "quality of life"/fairly inconsequential bracket, but it shows that Ubi are listening, upending the base tenets of Assassin's Creed that will, in theory, make Origins feel like a distinct step in the right direction.
