Assassin's Creed: Dynasty - 10 Things We Want To See
4. Less Focus On Levelling Up
The grind in Origins was real.
Although RPG elements aren't always a bad thing, the series only dabbled in them before Origins and they ended up feeling somewhat shoehorned into the newest game.
The amount of grinding in Origins made getting through the main story a lot harder than it should have been. Bayek levels up quite slowly, so the player is essentially forced into completing side missions to be able to progress through the story missions at a normal pace, otherwise facing being killed by the same grunt soldiers over and over again.
Whilst giving players incentive to play side missions is never a bad thing, forcing them on the player isn't much better. Instead of doing this, Dynasty should go back to having upgrades given through story continuation, and remove the need for levels to access story missions.
Levelling up should be a choice by the player to make their character stronger, not something required to even play. Either make it more natural, or remove it all together.
