Assassin's Creed IV: 3 Reasons You Shouldn't Give Up On It Yet

1. The Story

Black Flag 2 The AC franchise boasts two stories in each entry. The past and present-day story. Each is interesting in its own right. On the past front, we get to witness history as it happened with a few alterations of course. For most, this is wear the game shines because we get to see history unfold in front of our eyes with as little changes made to it as possible. While the present-day story is where we get to see the user of the Animus and how they must use the gained info to help achieve their goals. The goals I am referring is centered around the First Civilization and their advanced pieces of tech known as the Pieces of Eden. The Assassins and Templars are both in pursuit of these objects. The Templars want them to control mankind and Assassins want them to stay out of the Templars' hands. The character we followed for most of the series, Desmond(remember the Animus is hacked by Abstergo at the end of AC3) finds out he needs to find these pieces and a temple to save the world from being burnt by the Sun. He prevents this catastrophe, only to die(?) and freeing our new antagonist, Juno from the First Civilization. Now tell me you can honestly give up that story with no regrets. No shred of doubt or curiosity. Chances are you can't and there's a good reason for that. It is a really unique and engaging story. Counter Argument:Well the story may be interesting, but Ubisoft hasn't been handling it too well, have they? There are some who thinks the present-day story is an unnecessary inclusion in the game. Others find it intriguing and feel Ubisoft has been failing to develop it properly. Besides, there is always Wikipedia right? Which arguments do you agree with? Let me know in the comments.
