2. Ubisoft Is Listening
Ubisoft have always been passionate about the AC franchise - you only have to look at AC1 and AC2 to see that they care about these games. And you can call AC3 what you want, but at least Ubisoft weren't afraid of changing things up (unlike an aforementioned franchise). But then, if you weren't a fan of AC3, with its follow-up, your wishes might just be answered. News was released some time ago that one of the cities in AC4 is inspired by the Italian rooftops popular in AC2, and since many fans agree AC2 was the best in the franchise, this is a very good move on Ubisoft's part. They also revamped the naval system and even tried to put 1v1 naval battles in the MP, but ultimately said they couldn't do it - but you can't knock them for attempting to appeal to the community's wishes.
Counter-Argument: This is a double edged sword really: who's to say that Ubisoft will be able to recapture the essence of AC2? What about if they didn't listen to YOU?! And let's hope that you liked the naval addition in AC3 because now it makes up more than half the game. Did you like Connor and think Ezio was more generic than others make him out? Well you better hope they didn't add an Ezio-like Assassin for an Ezio-like city.
