Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate - 5 Big Things You Need To Know

3. New Weapons Rope Launcher Changes Everything

One major new innovation to the Assassin€™s arsenal in Syndicate is a rope launcher built into the gauntlet. This makes scaling London€™s tall buildings a breeze and works similar to an automatic grappling hook from more modern-based games, with added zip-line functionality to quickly slide down to lower rooftops. The combat is said to be tighter with a lot more emphasis on concealed weaponry. Brass knuckles are one such weapon which, along with the improved and more fluid combat system, gives you an advantage in hand to hand combat. A six-chamber Revolver is also a welcome addition, but one which is primarily used in finishing moves to prevent it feeling overpowered. Environmental objects can also be used to take out enemies, like crushing a group of baddies by cutting the rope of a bundle of crates suspended precariously above them, or firing a hallucinogenic dart into a street fire to confuse nearby guards and force them to fight each other, similar to berserk darts from previous games.
