5. The City Looks Like A Re-Skin

Bet you didn't think Victorian England could look so similar to Revolution-era France, but here we are. For the most part the shop fronts and colour palette is different enough not to label this as too offensively copied and pasted, but at this stage in Ubisoft's overlapping development cycle, their world-building technique has to be reusing certain assets - something made more obvious when Jacob takes to the rooftops.
In the previous teaser and leaked screens it looked as though we were going to get a heavily stylised black and gold aesthetic, thereby setting aside this iteration as something identifiable purely on a visual level. Instead, as soon as Frye gets above the hustle and bustle of the streets, it looks almost exactly the same as Unity, Black Flag's shanty towns or III's city areas.
