Assassin's Creed: Unity - 8 Unforgivable Issues That Insult The Fans

1. Lying About In-Game Content

This is the biggest one; the idea of cultivating a fanbase over years of refined gameplay stemming from a killer premise that got us all on board in the first place - only to sweep it all under the carpet in the pursuit of more sales. In the lead-up to release interviews with developers touted a 'brand new traversal system' which in actuality has amounted to more of the same 'hold forward and run' movement, flinging yourself off in directions you don't want, the inability to clamber up specific ledges - oh and the inclusion of a button specifically for descending from rooftops. Arno's legs still freak out if you place him in between two different plains just like in every other AC, and when one of the first missions opens with you tackling a guy in a terribly half-scripted chase sequence, you better believe this is not the totally-refined Assassin's Creed we were led to believe it was. Like Watch Dogs before it, Ubisoft really need to start delivering on their promises, as well as doing their art department some justice - honestly, the historical accuracy and graphics engine powering this are unbelievable - but the teams behind the way Unity is supposed to look are surely crying into their morning cereal that this broken slot-machine of a product is what's came out the door. How have you found Unity so far? Is there anything on here that seems too overblown, or is it time to make games' publishers really take note of what they can't get away with?
