Assassin's Creed Valhalla: 10 HUGE Questions Ubisoft Must Answer

5. How Did Eivor's Bones Get To North America?

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla opens with an enticing mystery. There's a permanent aurora borealis in the sky and a strange radio signal has led Layla and her Assassin accomplices to the burial location of a pile of old bones.

But these aren’t just any old bones. This is the final resting place of our Norse protagonist, Eivor.

What’s even more tantalising about the grave site is that it’s in North America and predates the first European settlers in the continent by a long shot.

As we progress through Eivor’s memories through the next few dozen hours, some light is shed on these enigmas. But by the time Eivor’s adventure in the main game is over, we’re still no closer to understanding how they came to end up in America.

Although Eivor journeys across the ocean to north-eastern America (then known as Vinland) for a major story mission, they don’t return after their business in the temple, or after forging alliances all over England.

What, then, are the reasons for why Eivor decided to leave his new home of Ravensthorpe for Vinland?

Perhaps the upcoming DLCs will be able to answer this burning question.
