Avengers DLC: Ranking Every UPCOMING Character Worst To Best

Mar-Vell is the original Captain Marvel, a Kree spy sent to Earth to determine if the planet is a threat to the Kree Empire. He eventually joined the team and served as a crucial member for several years, until he passed away due to cancer. It was a big comic event and while he has briefly returned from time to time, Mar-Vell is one of the few comic characters that hasn't permanently returned from the dead.

After his death, Carol Danvers took up the mantle of Captain Marvel in his honour. Therefore it's surprising that the developers are supposedly adding him to the game when Carol Danvers seems already established in the game's universe. Maybe Mar-Vell sticks to space in this universe, meaning he's another character who could take us off Earth. Or perhaps his inclusion could suggest we'll be getting a prequel DLC instalment, exploring how Captain Marvel gained her title.

When it comes to his play style, the developers have a lot of freedom. He has the standard combat training, flight and projectile attacks, but in some stories he gains much more fantastical powers, such as teleportation and being able to generate illusions. Hopefully we get a version of Mar-Vell that really stands out among his co-Avengers.
