Batman: Arkham 2017: 10 Ways To Make The Perfect Damian Wayne Game

9. Get Rid Of The Bat-Tank

In short, the Bat-Tank exemplified everything that was wrong with Arkham Knight; it was ugly, garish, inexplicably overused, and singlehandedly smashed the nuance of the series' gameplay with every explosion the thing brought with it. You weren't so much playing as The World's Greatest Detective as you were an over-glorified tank-driver with a disturbing penchant for laying waste to staggering amounts of public property.

There was nothing inherently empowering riding around in Batman's favourite automobile in this instance. Rather, it became a burden, an annoying mechanical sibling that felt the need to remind you of its presence even when you didn't, or rather shouldn't, have even needed it.

That's not to say that the series should be weary of offering another vehicle for Bat-fans to roam around in, however. In fact, I'd very much encourage any further titles to explore the Bat's garage in a manner that compliments the nuances of the Arkham Series. It's certainly possible and, given the right execution, could make getting from A-to-B an altogether more enticing prospect than most Arkham fans have become accustomed to.
