Batman Arkham 2020: Every Leak & Rumour You Need To Know

2. Ra's Al Ghul Is Back

A logo in WB Montreal's original September tweet looks a lot like the horned head of a devil. A demon's head, you might say. Or, to put it in Arabic, Ra's Al Ghul.

Ra's was the major antagonist of Arkham City, plotting in the old steampunky Wonder City beneath present day Gotham. Of course his story there ended with him tumbling from a skyscraping tower and impaling himself on his own sword.

But this is Ra's Al Ghul we're talking about, so death isn't typically anything more than a minor inconvenience. The whole Wonder City plotline was based on the fact that he built the city there because it was on top of a Lazarus Pit, so it wouldn't exactly come as a surprise to see him resurrected.

With the strong likelihood that the new game will involve rival factions pursuing Batman for their own ends, the League Of Assassins seem like a good candidate for an organisation that has their own unique agenda and past relationship with Bruce as both an adversary and their desired future leader.

The fact that this game grew out of an earlier concept built around Ra's grandson Damien also supports the idea that both could yet feature here.
