Batman Arkham City Sequel: 5 Storylines We Want To See

5. Arkham Universe

The Story: Batman wakes up to chaos. Gotham is burning; criminals are running riot; The Joker is alive, as is Ra€™s Al Ghul. He must try and tame this chaos as best he can whilst the world€™s greatest city succumbs to this chaos and the buildings begin to fall. Everything Batman has achieved is coming undone; there€™s no hope. As the game progresses he loses everything, Wayne tower is destroyed, Robin is killed, he keeps seeing his parents, criminals are alluding him and all is lost... However in a series of flash backs he remembers that he can€™t be free, he was captured by a masked figure in the middle of the night and the penny drops; this isn€™t happening. He was captured by scarecrow who submitted him to overwhelming amounts of fear gas that has made this horror world his reality and he must overcome his fear to beat the toxin and best the Scarecrow. Awesome Moment: The realisation of what is happening, as well as the visual spectacle that would occur when the fear toxin takes complete control. Reason Why This Should Be The Story: Why the hell not? You would get to know Bruce Wayne incredibly well, the game would be manic, wild, visually brilliant and emotional to boot. Reason Why This Shouldn€™t Be The Story: Would people really want to buy in to a game where the majority of what is happening isn€™t real? It might be a difficult sell. What do you think should be the story to the next Batman game? Comment below!
