Batman: Arkham Insurgency - 10 Best Rumours That Must Come True
5. Proper Boss Battles
For seemingly no reason whatsoever, coming after Arkham Asylum, City and Origins - all games packed with great boss battles, and Mr. Freeze was a notable highlight - Arkham Knight reduced that number to all but a couple. And they were especially bad, if not outright terrible.
An awkward underground sewer tank duel only served to annoy, and neither was the 'sneak up and punch three times' setup that felled the Arkham Knight third time round. Every other major confrontation happened inside the Bankmobile, and the final 'battle' was more an explorative first-person shooter sequence followed by Bats beating Scarecrow in a cutscene.
It's hardly rewarding, to say the least, which is why Arkham Insurgency is taking things back to the traditional route, designing boss battles and notable encounters around fun, memorable patterns and mechanics.
