Batman: Arkham Insurgency - 10 Things It Must Learn From Knight

1. Explore Bruce's Psyche At Key Points In The Story

Following on from this lack of teamwork (which admittedly, is more of a new-age thing, thanks to how Scott Snyder has written the comics), is the lack of exploration into Batman as an entity, and Bruce as the man behind the mask.

Telltale's Batman games actually dove into this material with supreme confidence, presenting both the weight of living the double life, with the freeing nature of donning the cape and cowl to "get some answers", go around the law or stretching some morals, should the need arise.

Whilst it shouldn't take up the majority of the game, actually having Bruce analyse a given situation and his own motivations based on the events of the story would be a welcome change from having the 'support crew' tell him what's up or what's next. Yes, he does propel the narrative at key points, but we actually know next to nothing about this version of Bruce, and in Arkham Knight, when he started intoning about retirement and feeling sad about potentially killing himself towards the end of the game, none of the necessary character work had been done beforehand for those ideas to resonate.
