Batman Arkham Knight: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Arkham Knight
6. The Reaper
Speaking of the vigilante whose approach to fighting crime is a little more heavy-handed than Batman's (in that he has enormous scythes for hands), The Reaper is pretty much the Arkham Knight with a slightly more original costume. In his second year as a crimefighter, Batman finds himself having to take down The Reaper, who has been passing over the traditional "catch the crim, stick them in jail, rinse, repeat" approach in favour of the "MURDERING EVERYONE" approach. I mean, in a way, that does tend to be a more permanent solution than Batman's. It also involves, well, murdering a lot of people, which isn't something our hero is a fan of. In the same way that the Arkham Knight is a mirror image of Bats, The Reaper has a similar motivation for his crime-fighting career as Bruce Wayne: a rich socialite by day he began his righteous rampage after his wife was killed in - yes - a bungled alleyway mugging. Having Batman face up to, essentially, a Darkest Timeline version of himself would actually be really cool.
