2. A Hidden Sequel Tease

Not necessary an actual dedicated sequel, more of a "And this universe will live on"-type stuff. Being that Warner Bros. are quickly establishing themselves as some of the worst money-hungry vultures in the industry with the recent Mortal Kombat X debacle, there's no way in hell they'll be leaving this alone. All the same, Rocksteady are done and dusted with all things Arkham-related, but as fans love to tear apart and analyse every possible easter egg, reference and nod within, it'd be worth their while to tuck away a potential seed they can sew far later down the line when the inevitable return to the canon happens anyway. The brass tacks of the matter is that whatever finality they give their 'big finish', Warner Bros. are going to undermine it with unnecessary sequels regardless - so there might as well be something that ends their work on the franchise on an optimistic high note.
