5. A Focus On Fear
Arkham Asylum remains a favourite among stealth loving fans who enjoy a sneakier, more cautious approach to combat than simply jumping down and beating the crap out of everything that moves. Batman's main tactic when dealing with thugs is fear. It's fear that defeats his enemies, not his fists. Stealth took a back seat in the more expansive Arkham City and while Arkham Knight might be five times bigger, from the footage shown so far, Rocksteady seems to have listened to fans requests. Fear takedowns are new to the series and look seriously cool. It's great that Rocksteady are utilising the environment even more but lighting needs to be spot on if the Dark Knight plans on using the shadows to his advantage. Speaking of which, is it too much to ask that we are allowed to stalk and torment enemies? Turning off lights and setting up traps is all part of the legend that is Batman so hopefully Rocksteady can give us more stealth based action. What's more, all of these actions should actually matter with your handling of situations raising either your fear or carnage reputation among the gangs of Gotham City and adapt to your tactics.
