Batman: Arkham Knight - 12 Details In The Trailers You Totally Missed
6. Batman: Bad For Gotham?
In at least three instances during the E3 2014 gameplay trailer released for Arkham Knight, you can see a sign that seems to depict the Dark Knight himself sporting a clown nose. Given that it's prevalently displayed around the city, this notice would seem to allude to the mysterious death of The Joker at the end of Arkham City. It seems plausible that the media would be furiously speculating about what really happened in the prison, particularly as Batman emerged carrying the Clown Prince's body. As a result, these billboards around the city would more than likely be referencing a media report, or a book based on the events of that night, perhaps fronted by one of Gotham's most famous media reporters. Who do we know that could possibly fit that bill? Well, there's Vicki Vale and Jack Ryder, both who were briefly incarcerated in Arkham City itself during the events of the second game. If you delve even further into this and look at some the game's official screenshots, you can see that the poster is actually for the Gotham Herald and clearly references Batman's current status in the eyes of the public.
