6. The DLC Issue Is Just As Bad As Last Time
Everyone gets on the industry's back about offering substantial chunks of content as paid-for extras on top of the base game, and in the rush to love 'another Arkham game' we're all so quick to forget the Arkham City Catwoman DLC debacle. Where that character was essential to Bruce even making it through the game alive - a weird plot element, being he straight-up died and an apocalypse kicked in if you didn't save him - for Arkham Knight Warner Bros. are offering hugely pricey special editions with figurines and Batmobiles, alongside 'Pre-order only' access to both Jason Todd (as the Red Hood) and Harley Quinn. Now, alongside the fact they're both labelled upfront as 'Story Packs' - itself pretty insulting as what fan doesn't want the full game for their money? - but being that Todd primarily uses firearms and has been confirmed to slaughter his enemies and Quinn is a total nut-cake, they're going to play different enough where following hours of playing as Batman, embodying them would be a breath of fresh air. Nope, pay more than standard cost for the full experience or miss out just like last time. Them's the breaks.
