8. Scarecrow-On-Form
It was perhaps one of the more disappointing aspects of Arkham City that one of your coolest adversaries from Arkham Asylum returned only in Easter egg form you can find Scarecrows mask discarded on a haystack on the outskirts of the city and you can find a traumatised Joker thug unconscious on a boat with a purchase form made out to J. Crane nearby. Yes we spent A LOT of time playing that game. While satisfying, these references dont make up for a bona fide appearance though. While we have known for some time now that Scarecrow would act as the spearhead to Arkham Knights ensemble cast of villains, we had no confirmation that he would returns as the same incredibly menacing villain we saw in Arkham Asylum. Thankfully, based on this trailer we can safely say Scarecrow is back with a vengeance. In a sequence Freddy Krueger would be proud of, Gothams own master of nightmares walks while allowing his fear injectors to scratch ominously against the wall. We hear Scarecrow threatening Gotham this is your only warning, abandon this city or I will unleash your greatest fears. During this overture from Scarecrow we see a montage of the panicked people of Gotham fleeing their homes lest the villain make good on his dark promises (you wouldve thought theyd just move out permanently at this stage, Gotham isnt a nice place).
