Arkham Origins was the first game in the series to feature a playable vehicle. Granted it's only used for fast-travel purposes, but the Batwing looks great in game and is the Dark Knight's primary mode of transportation from start to end.

Curiously, you can actually spot an early, prototype version of the Batmobile in the Batcave, where it's highlighted in Detective Mode as an "Urban Assault Vehicle". Why Bruce put his all into a jet before his car - a more practical and less costly vehicle - is anyone's guess, but you can clearly identify the chassis of the Arkham Asylum Batmobile, the one the Caped Crusader uses to launch Bane into Gotham Bay.
