Pamela Isley, aka Poison Ivy, is first introduced as an inmate of Arkham Asylum. She cares little for the Joker's plans, and only springs into action when her precious plants come under threat.

After Joker injects her with Titan, Poison Ivy's roots engulf the entire Arkham Island, reducing it to an overgrown, inhospitable state in which it remains for the rest of the series. Once she moves to Arkham City, she claims an abandoned building on the edge of the city, where she hopes to stay in peace with her plant life - until Catwoman's appearance riles her up.

But it's in Arkham Knight that Isley really comes into her own. As the Cloudburst disperses Scarecrow's fear gas all over the city, Batman enlists Poison Ivy's help to find a plant-based anti-toxin. Though she doesn't care about the human lives in Gotham, the toxin is equally harmful to her plants, so she agrees to assist in locating the city's most ancient underground roots.

However, her efforts drain every last ounce of her energy, and she flakes away to nothing in Batman's arms. She may have been acting in her own self-interest, but did Poison Ivy really die a villain?
