1. Failure States Can Be Irritating

Reaching a Game Over screen in a Tellgame admittedly isn't very common, though there are two sequences in The Enemy Within that might cause you a little trouble simply because they might require you a few attempts to figure out exactly what you're supposed to do.

Failing in one of these sequences forces the player to repeat a roughly minute-long, unskippable cut-scene, simply in order to return to a screen where the player has just a few seconds to figure things out.

It's frankly quite irritating, especially as in some cases it's not always immediately clear exactly what you have to do in order to proceed. Thankfully these scenes pass pretty quickly, but the poor checkpointing is still super annoying.

With all that out of the way, though, it's time to look at everything Telltale got right...
