7. Air Superiority
This one is something that DICE should definitely look into. This mode in Battlefield 1943, was fantastic. It pitched enemy planes against each other, in the ultimate dogfight, to try and control the air through one base on a mountain, with the usual ticket system. It was unpredictable, it was exciting, and it gave a real battle rush, utilising the best vehicles in the game. What did we get with Battlefield 3? Until Armoured Kill, nothing like it. Even in Armoured Kill, it was Tank Superiority, which was a total misfire compared to 1943's dogfight of a mode. The problem with Tank Superiority, is that it just isn't engaging. For one, a lot of players are left without, when in 1943 planes re-spawned as soon as one left, and another, you get killed way too easily by infantry. Battlefield 3 brought back planes to the retail disc franchise for the first time, but they really missed out a good feature. Battlefield 4 should have a range of maps with Air Superiority for sure. In fact even better, merge a few maps with conquest and this game mode, make it so that those in the air have another objective other than just flying around shooting. This game mode can seriously bring out the fun in Battlefield, and should have been included in DICE's latest outing.
